All this talk about getting D-line in the draft is killing me! What we need is a quarterback . It is soooo obvious that Jay Cutler is a bum. He has no potential. Lets trade the whole draft to the Raiders for the #1 pick and get Jamarcus Russell.

I think that maybe there is better defensive tackles in the draft than lineman. Most of these lineman will get pancaked often in the nfl when it comes to the run. You might say the broncs need a passrusher but it was also obvious that by the 4th quarter almost anybody could run against them. The broncs may have improved but still will not be able to compete with indy as mr manning will have alll day to pick apart the broncs. with the afc as strong as it is it would take a lot of luck for broncs to make it back to the super bowl this year. playoffs yes, but it will be a one and done or 2nd round loss again.

The idea of trading our 21st pick to Chicago for Lance Briggs sounds like a great idea - I just don't think we have the salary cap room to afford him.

There are roumers that we might trade some draft picks with the Lions and if we do that I think we should either draft Calvin Johnson if the Raiders don't select him first or we could trade from #2 down to #4 with the Bucaneers and select LaRon Landry or Gaines Adams. I hope we get LaRon though.

They need to address the positions in following order:

- DL
- OL
- RB
- Middle LB
- Safety

Also, Russell's comments about getting rid of Cutler is stupid. I'd take Cutler over JaMarcus any time. You must be a Raiders fan.

This is crazy!! Cutler will be in the Pro Bowl in 2-3 years mark my word. Jamarcus Russell will be a great fit for Oakland because as soon as he gets the money, he will not be able to stay out of trouble. I do agree with WUM as I also think Ginn Jr. is a huge bust!! I would like to see the Broncos go after a WR to give Cutler another option. That kid has HUGE talent!!

I think Ginn has the most speed of any WR in the draft - posted a 4.35 in the forty. More than any one attribute, the NFL covets speed. I doubt that he will be around at 21. If he is, I say take him. Cutler overthrew his receivers a few times last year. Ginn would be an absolute deep threat which opens up the running game and short passing game and would take away the double team from Walker. Ginn looks a lot tougher then Lelie. Ginn looks like a serious and very focused player. He's somewhat on the small side at WR for most NFL experts but then again, there are more than a few great WRs who weighed 180.

There will be plenty of quality D-lineman in rounds 2 and 3. I also would not oppose giving up the 21 pick and maybe a 3rd round pick for a proven young linebacker like Briggs. Denver has a way of making those long contracts for high dollars work.

Its time to spend the first day entirely on d line..just like the cb draft a couple years ago..maybe all ol on day two..next year we can get a safety..oh and didnt another mlb just hit free agency

This is just the first game and it is a long series however no one could have asked for a better start. It is nice to be on the good end of the refs calls for a change. I got tired of seeing Melo beat up down low on the offensive end only to see brush fouls called on him on the defensive end. They need to give Melo the benefit of the doubt calls most Mega Stars get.

AI 31 points 5 assists with his "no I am not going to let us lose this game" buckets after every mini spurs run priceless...I'm talkin bout pricless man!

JR "instant offense" Smith, should soak in this experieince and ask Melo the best way to climb out of a dog house and then try to get out of George's. After you do so use your God given talent that you were blessed with to become the next 5 tool NBA star. Remember JR is a year and a half younger than Melo, he will grow up and then watch out. 5 tool star = Offense Outside/ Driving, Play Above The Rim, Defensive Stopper/ Weakside Rebounder, Floor Leader/ Coach Extension, & and unstoppable Game Changer. If you have watched this season unfold we have seen glimpses of these 5 tools from JR this year at different times.

My prediction still stands Nuggets 4-2 if they win Wed. look for the sweep. Do not say to yourself that it can never happen after all did you think they would win game one? That is what I thought.

Since the release of Al Wilson, another Bronco need has come about. The Broncos clearly need D-lne help to put Bates' system into effect(Highly efficient pass rushing DEs w/ speed, and big run stopping, lane plugging DTs). That need is only a need for the system, not for the horrible D-lne producton last year. The Broncos, unlike the fans were satisfed with the D-line last year.

Linebacker, not necessarily MLB, but a versatle LB is needed. It is unsure whether Williams can handle the switch to MLB yet or whether Webster or any of the other Lbs (coming basically from the practice squad) can step up and fill in Wilsons shoes.

O-line should look to be addressed for youth and depth but not for a starter. Broncos really like their line and the new additions that stepped up during the injuries to play well. The only question is whether Lepsis will heal to 100%.

Fans would love to see a safety drafted but Denver is not too stressed about safety despite age and serious knee injuries. But Denver likes special teams performer Hamza Abdullah alot so they see him starting in the near future. If we draft a safety it will be a chance pick; someone to play special teams and maybe squeeze into the starting lineup. Also as of now in the secondary, we have 2 high quality CBs and two solid backups.

I really hope that the Broncos are able to get Adam Carriker! You know the last time there was a Cornhusker on the Broncos roster they won the Super Bowl! He is quite the player, I have watched him for four years and he will make a huge impact for whatever team picks him... I just hope he lands in Denver.

Are we all losing site of what great drafts we have had in the past. With the exception of George Foster and Ashley Lelie are 1st and 2nd round picks over the past few years have been excellent.we have one of the smartest coaching staff in the nfl. I think we should trade down our 21st pick to stock pile later round picks.The more players via the draft the better chance we have of catching the Chargers.

Big plus for A. Spencer in my book, who might be had in the 2nd: Levi Brown, rated just behind top prospect Joe Thomas said on Spencer: When asked, said the toughest defender he faced all year was Purdue DE Anthony Spencer. Brown put his mouth up to the microphone and said "Anthony Spencer is tough. He's the best defensive end in this draft. You all should draft him."

Spencer also played against Thomas, who reportedly said on ESPN radio that Spencer was the "best and most difficult end to block" he's faced, and that he thought that Spencer was the most talented pass rusher in this year's draft.

Here's what you do- wait until you're on the clock, and see who fell to you. Someone who SHOULDN'T be there at 21, will be there. If it's a DL (Anderson, Carriker, or Branch), you take him. If it's anyone else (RB Lynch, OT Levi Brown, TE Olsen, CB Revis or Hall, or LB Willis), then you trade down for value. Whichever of those guys is still there, someone will be willing to give up a high 2 and 3 for him.

There will be very nice DL prospects available at the top of round 2 (Charles Johnson, Tank Tyler, maybe Anthony Spencer), at the end of round 2 (Tim Crowder, Alama-Francis from Hawaii), and the top of the 3rd (Quentin Moses, Turk McBride, Ray McDonald).

Broncos should take 2 DEs, a DT, and a WR on day one.

This is what makes sense to me...At 21 take the best D lineman available, whether that be moss or carriker, whoever we have highest on the board. In the second round lets pray harris falls to us, if he doesnt take the best safety, wide reciever, or linebacker, whoever is highest on the board. Trade one of the thirds round picks and possibly a second day pick for kris jenkins, use the remaining 3rd rounder to pick up the best position we didnt address with the 2nd round pick. It could end up like this, pick 21-Adam Carriker, pick 2nd rd pick 24-David Harris, 3rd rd pick 6-traded to Panthers for Kris Jenkins, 3rd rd pick 22-Eric Weddle or Sabby Piscitelli. Second day go after your running backs or wide recievers and offensive lineman! Look what that does to our Defense!

I just hope the Broncos sit at 21 and draft the best DE available at that point. The only way they should trade is to trade back if Anderson, Carriker, Moss, and Spencer are all gone by then which I don't see happening. This talk of trading three 1st day picks to get to #10 is ridiculous. The Broncos have needed a stud DE since Trevor Pryce hurt his back, and now the deepest DE draft class in recent memory comes along and NOW you're going to trade up to get one? Hopefully Shanny is smarter than that. Then grab the best available OT/S/WR for the rest of the 1st day. By the by... the dominating white DL comment is ignorant, as you probably knew when you wrote it. Kerney just pulled down quite a bit of cash. Kelly Gregg just got a new contract and has led interior DL in tackles the past five years. I wouldn't make a racist statement just because I'm uninformed.

I agree with 29, disagree with 30. We need defensive players. We have two holes on our team, both of them are defensive needs. We have to get a guy that is going to come in and help out our defense immediately. Of course people want Calvin Johnson, but we don't need him, and even if we did, we wouldn't be able to get him. Trade up for Okoye, Adams, or Willis and our draft looks great.

#10-ESPNU great aval on Ginn last night, he and CJ have similar burst and speed to the endzone, Ginn is world class +return and change of direction. he's not CJ but he gives 3 WR patterns + return game ala Hester. hester plays NO WR. I like Ginn b/c NOONE on the Broncos O has that kind of S-C-A-R-Y speed.
#18-Pat Kearney, hall, Kampman, Allen, Wistrom, Mark Gastineu, thats about it. Carriker may be one of those guys, he's at least a Trevor pryce type of potential.
#29-UR right, and we wont.
#30-we cant, dont have enough to offer. IT WAS AMAZING we had enough to get Cutler last year, a top QB prospect going to a winning team..that NEVER happens, this is a coup.

We made good moves, Holdeman, lewis and Webster give us solid depth at OLB. We can fill every need this weekend.

We need a speedster. CJ or Ginn would give us that as well as RB Peterson. Looking at some footage of Peterson yesterday really opened up my eyes at what a beast he is at running the ball. He reminded me of Bo Jackson. We need a offensive speedster/play maker one way or the other.

My brother and I personally didn't like the trade of Tatum Bell...because he was the only speedster we had. It should have been Mike Bell who was traded.

Tatum has the burst of speed and acceleration to make long plays. I think had Denver known that the would wind up with Travis Henry, someone who can punch it in from the 2 yard line, they would have kept Tatum for the 10-12 carries a game.

Dreaming.... that we trade up for CJ,Peterson or Ginn.

Would love a trade for Briggs or Jenkins, maybe Jackson (he fell off some last year).

What ever we do, I hope we get an impact player for years to come. Most teams only wind up keeping one or two players from each draft for the long haul.

Love the possibilities AND CAN'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW!

ESPN just reported that Denver will take Houston's pick this year. In exchange Houston will receive our first and third and next year's second round pick. ESPN is also reporting that Denver will take Patrick Willis with the tenth overall pick. GO BRONCOS!!!!

IF that story is true in regards to trading to the #10 spot...fans...don't count on staying there...they may have got into a position that they can now trade detroit positions and try to snag Johnson...this kid is the real deal...walker, marshall, stokley (not afraid to go over the middle), smith(will prob be last year), and a couple other young wrs we have, ...we need this kid...build around Cutler (Scheffler, walker, marshall, Johnson) and pick up some talented OFF Linemen in the mid rounds...that would be scaryyyy

actually allo, it wasn't a mock trade. it was reported on Cold Pizza by Bob Glauber as inside information, for whatever that's worth. he said that he had heard from the teams that they had agreed in principle to these terms. granted it's bob glauber and i don't know if he's right but it wasn't a mock draft.
