All Things Broncos: Darrent Williams enjoying his job

    D Williams is just a joy to watch. His abundance of energy and enthusiasm easily make up for his lack of size. He'd be the star corner on any other team that didn't have a corner named Champ.

    The draft pick for Darrent Williams is kind of a wash. On the one hand he's been a very mediocre return on a second round draft pick for a returner, which is exclusively where the front office projected him. Then again getting an elite cover corner whoese also a "football player" in every sense makes him a steal. He's worth an early first round grade as a corner, even at his height, as a returner we took him too early. Nice problem to have.

    The only problem I see with Darrent Williams is he probably won't be with the Broncos 3-4 years from now. We don't ever sign our valueable free agents.

    I think Williams will be likely to return to Denver. Most players like him would love to stay with the organization that created him. Now if he ask for Champ Bailey money, he's gone.

    Having both darrent williams and champ bailey gives denver one of the most physical, and certainly one of the fastest pair of starters at the cornerback spot, and dont forget dominique foxworth, who started 8 games as a rookie just like darrent. Both were steals in the draft, Darrent ran a 4.3 40, only beat by a handfull of players and the Champ ran a 4.28 but rumors were floating around the time of the draft that Baileys 40 time had been clocked as low as 4.19, unofficially ofcourse. Denvers Defense should emerge as the leagues best unit at the end of the 2006 campaign.

    I am a huge Darrent Williams fan and couldn't wait to get his autograph. Then he spelled my name wrong on the football.

    He was even told before writing it. This is a hardship of terrible proportions. Don't give me that crap of some starving child in another country.
