What a bunch of fairweather pansy asses. Plummer had a fantastic season and never really had a shot to do anything all day. Pittsburgh did what winning teams do - control the ball, run down the clock, convert on third down, and don't turn the ball over. The Broncos were forced into bad plays because they were behind all day. That's what happens when your coverage goes to pot.

I second that last comment... If you think this performance was bad take a look at some of Elway's first few playoff appearances, Jake did well compared to the 'great number 7.' You naysayers are the fools who jammed Ticketmaster.com and kept real fans like myself from going to the game.

First the Steelers played a great game this afternoon. Second, I am a true blue Bronco fan and I can't wait until next year. Third, I think it is great to see John Elway on the sideline supporting the Broncos. Last thing.....Jake Plummer .....Thank you for a wonderful season. Today Pittsburgh was the better team and you played with a lot of heart. Continue to work hard in the off season and punch the first sports writer in the mouth that points out your turn overs in this game. Football is a team game and there is enough blame for everyone. Coaching staff great job this year but what happened to the no huddle offense afternoon? Defense why could not we stop the Steeler's passing attack? Those are the real questions that I have from this game. Not if Jake Plummer's turn overs cost us the game! Because they didn't cost us the game ....we were simply outplayed and out coached today..........Long live the Broncos and dumb @sses like Rob have your fun now but I know next year the Broncos will be in the thick of things again!!!

Say what you want, but Jake's performance was on par or better than Peyton's last week and the other Jake's tonight. Guess they should be cut too. Seems like even Big Ben had a pretty bad playoff game last year if memory serves. The only Jake flashback I saw was that shovel pass under pressure. Yikes!

I'll be rooting for the Steelers for lack of a better team to root for, but remember that their playoff run is forever tainted by the fact that they didn't beat the "real" Bengals thanks to a cheap tackle right out of the Rodney Harrison playbook. I just hope we can stop hearing the Bettis "coming home" sob stories every 15minutes.

Another note...Big Ben threw two bad, bad interceptions on the first drive of the game. We just didn't hold onto the ball which is kinda how the whole day went.

Hay all you Die-Hard Denver Fans. Your team has been very good for years but when the Famous "7" Retired, it was over for awhile. Even many of us here in KC Cheered on the Broncos during your Chapionship years.
You can't have it all the time and every year. We know how you feel about the Chiefs. We feel the same way:> Just losers.
The Chiefs haven't done anything since 1970 when they won the big-one. I was in Vietnam then!! Couldn't do it with Joe Montana, Marcus Allan, Akoya, Ect.
So, do Ya want to buy another NFL team. I'll sell you the KC Chiefs for $10.00, then you can name them the "Cog-Train-Dummies" after all the little trains you have up the side of the Mountain. Or, the "Kissing Camel-DuDas," Manitu-Dip-Wads," or the "Colorado Springs-Over-Paid-Losers."
The Bottom Line:> It wasn't all Jake Plummer. It was the entire team who let you down.
Again, I'll sell your the "Chiefs," Cheap!

Jake the Fake is not a NFL caliber material. The Coaches best bet is to drop this gu,y and give Bradley Van Pelt or another NFL caliber Quarterback a chance, I am thinking someone like Vince Young.

If it was not for his mistakes the team would have had a fighting chance!

Jake is no fake. He is and has always been gracious in defeat (were you paying attention Peyton?), granted he has a fair amount of experience. The team has reacted positively to him this year, the benefits followed. The Steelers are better than the Broncos at pretty much every position. Could be a dynasty making in Pittsburgh, that young defense has the potential to be among the best ever (they may be right now). After Matt Hasselbecks' performance in the Super Bowl, people will quickly forget about Jake's performance yesterday.

Jake Plummer will never take us to the promised land. Need to start looking ahead. He does not have the fire in his eyes. Shows up to interviews looking like he just came from a Gratefule dead concert. Why do we keep getting these QB with no steam Griese, now Plummer. Lets trade up, and get someone, this guy is not going to cut it.

I grew up in Denver and had the misfortune of relocating to Detroit. I had hoped to see the Broncos come the Detroit Rock City in Feb.... no such luck.

Comeon' Coach..... Bubby sucked, Griese sucked, Maddox sucked.... and now Jake walks up and hands the ball over to the Steelers 4 times ????

It's time to draft up or trade for a decent quarterback... no more "projects", no more "just needs a little polishing"...... you had all the pieces this year EXCEPT at QB.

Denver Fans are something out of this world. With the continued memories of Back-To-Back SuperBowl wins for John Elway & Terrell Owens, (Don't get me Wrong they were Great), Have they also erased 3 previous visits by Mr. No 7 to other SuperBowls and remember the 3-Amigos, the Giants, Redskins and oh yes the SF49ers. Wow what a game a 55-10 thrashing, that was one game I could not lose cause I love the Niners and the Broncos. But did you guys call for someone to replace John Elway? The same thing happened in this game as it did then, Jake cannot win the game by himself. My Goodness just like John Elway would not win the previous 3 Superbowls by himself, Jake desperately needed some help yesterday. You guys lighten up, you just got a dose of reality. On ANY SUNDAY, Any team can win and it was not the Broncos this Sunday. But why wait until next Season - GO BRONCOS!!!!

The Broncos had a good season. They won a lot of games, but had a lot of luck on their side. This game against Pittsburg scared me. I like Pittsburg. Denver was not ready, and Jake was back to his old self. Either get him a better front line, or trade up..

Denver has got to wake up and get rid of Plummer! How can you Bronco fans continue to stand behind this guy? Here's some stats for you: In his 9 year career, he has 5 years of 20+ interceptions. Denver has been blasted out of the playoffs each of his three years in orange and blue because of his poor play (4 turnovers on Sunday- Are you kidding me?!?). Even in this, what you'd have to call a career year for him, he did what it took to get us to the playoffs, but got us killed again! Jake has done the same thing for the past three years- Get the Broncos to the playoffs, and then send us home with a late 1st round draft pick. We need a QB that can make it happen, and Plummer is not that guy. I'm thinking we try our hand at Matt Schaub (Atlanta) or draft a guy like Cutler. Go Broncos!

Did you ever hear Shanahan's comments to Plumer when Jake comes to the sideline after a three and out? Shanahan actually says "Now Jake, you have to look for the second and third receiver before you start running". What a thing to have to remind an 8-year NFL quarterback of. This is just a small example of how much coaching this guy needs. Mike is gonna have to up Plumer's medication and bring in a high school quarterback coach if the Bronco's are gonna get "ANYWHERE" next season.

No way Shanahan or Bolan will get rid of Jake this year. They will ride him for a few more seasons. Besides, when Shanahan loves a quarterback he sticks with him! Remember the grease man? I bet Shanahan would love to have him as Jake's backup!

I would love to see you get out there and play. Instead of trashing on Jake for not playing his best, how about applauding the huge improvements he has made? He's human too, and we all make mistakes. Give the guy a break..I'm sure he isn't feeling too great about the outcome of the game either.

Hey from San Diego, I have been a BRONCO FAN for 18 yrs in So.Cal. We need to give Jake 1(one) more year. If he does not get upset and does not train to get past this we the BRONCO nation need to get all over this team to rid him from our great franchise. #7 his gone,past,history, we can't compare the two..BUT we can look for and want a true warrior. I do not think Jake is that Warrrior.

Wah, wah, wah! We didn't go to the Super Bowl! How fair-weather can you frigging get! You know what? He gave us a thrilling season, wherein we all held our heads high and proclaimed loudly, "Yes, we're Broncos fans" while others hung their heads, as their teams were not as potent, as flawless, and didn't have double-digit win columns. We got to the AFC frigging championship. How many other teams got there.....oh, yeah...one. The second best team in the AFC....I'll take that all day and twice on Sundays. All you nay-sayers have totally lost perspective, and expect a championship season every year. Get off Jake's back, he's still pulling turf out of his behind from Arizona, his game has improved in leaps and bounds and next year, when he brings us to the promised land, you all will be kissing his Grateful-Dead touche.

Hey give Jake the benifit of the doubt. Let's see they lost Qubiac Offensive Coach, and they have several new players. It is going to take some time to get them all on the same page. 5-1 whole of a hell lot beter than most of the NFL teams, including the Bears; who really have the easy schedule.

jake is the worst most undescisive quarter back in the league. when he's good hes's great but when he's bad i feel like noone ever should have let him play football when he was younger. i think they should give cutler a riegn at quarter back. he can't be as bad as plumer

Plummer simply isn't consistent enough to lead the Broncos to a Superbowl victory. If his play doesn't improve markedly over the rest of this season I predict that Cutler will start next year.

Jake is no Hall of Fame QB, but he is about average for an NFL QB, he gets the job done. Look at his win-loss record, it's not just the rest of the team, carrying Jake. He contributes at least his share for those wins. I doubt he will be anything more than he is now, but with all his INTs, you must admit, he's fun to watch.

I have been critical of Jake too, and I continue to wonder why he does some of the things he does, I also wonder how he made some of the plays he has made.

Yes, I would love to have Elway, in his prime, back. But barring that, Jake is winning, and will do his share until Jay is ready to take over. You had better hope he is as good as he seems now. If not, he will not be the first QB with buckets of promise to disappoint the fans and go home in shame.

Let's just hope he does better next week, San Diego will not present the gifts Oakland did. Denver will win if they play well enough to win. Another game like today, and there will be one more in the "L" column.
