Broncos fans vent about loss to Raiders
Hanging on for muffed extra points and blown onside kick attempts. Could we put a game away with a few first downs? Could the defense make a stop?
How many games did we give up in the 4th quarter? Seattle, SD, Indy...
You can see the potential of some of these young guys on offense and that's encouraging, especially Cutler.
I know we haven't had alot of luck this year, so maybe we deserved this one, but I don't feel that we are a better team than Cincy. They missed about 4 TDs. Our defensive zone has holes the size of Colorado.
Our D made some big plays, but overall, they did little to give me any confidence going into the playoffs.
On the good side... That 99 yard drive was awesome... if we could do that a little more, we have potential.
Well, merry Christmas, congrats to the Broncs... we should handle the 9ers at home. If nothing else, one extra game of experience for our youngsters.
Seems like he's got good cover skills, but bad ball skills.
I agree that Cutler isn't a problem, but they did not do enough on offense. If Cincy makes a couple more plays that were wide open, we lose. Their strength is not there D, so we need to put up more points.
But he is a rookie and that's what we'll see... some good, some bad.
Every game he gets behind him (Cutler), the better off we are.
are fun to watch again. Its been to many years. May not go deep in the playoffs, but wait till Jay
"THE ROCKET MAN" Cutler matures.
The 99 yard drive reminded me of th Elway years.
Yeah we were lucky, but I don't think the way the team's determination was going, that Cincy would have won in OT. BTW I agree with #2 about Darent.
Cutler's got incredible physical skills. Hopefully with time, he can get the mental part too (not too bad right now). I like Jake, but he just doesn't have the physical gifts the Kid's got. Unfortunately he just never totally got the mental thing either.
Probably going to be next year, but the future's so bright, I gotta were shades!!
oldschool
-Denver didn't win. Cincy beat themselves.
-Cutlers tying Marino is just another stupid stat and not in any way indicative of his potential.
-if it weren't for that missed PAT we would have lost.
-I was going to keep going but some of you who are lit up on Plummer juice will do it for me.
- I was thinking of trying to employ a different perspective. i.e:
Good job Champ and John. We sure could use some pressure on the QB. Let's address that on the off season. Draft, Trade etc.
- Cutler needs some work but He's coming along nicely and what a rocket.
-Broke that homefield L streak.
-Isn't it great that with the changes, injuries and everything else, we are in a position to make the playoffs and get some good practical experience for next year.
-99 yard "DRIVE". I am not making comparisons But it was positive.
-I can't help but be positive. As long as Shanny props up the front "D" in the Off "S".
1) Broncos Win; OR
2) Broncos Loss + KC Loss
If the Broncos lose and KC wins, the Broncos are done since KC will knock Denver out of the wildcard by virtue of a better division record (the first tiebreaker to eliminate teams in the same division BEFORE conference record comes into play).
Besides, the ONLY reason the Patsies won those Super Bowls is cause they didn't have to play Denver in the playoffs those years. The fact is, we own you. Don't try to deflect attention from that with irrelevant facts...
Randy
#2 Dr max Clark, we did draft a Freeny type pass rusher and he has had a pretty good season. His name is Elvis and he has played in 11 games and notched 7.0 sacks, they leauge rookie sack leader has 10, but he has also played 14 games to do it. Oh yeah Elvis forced a fumble today,I think.
Dumervill got lucky on a few sacks. Did you see how slow he was after picking up that fumble? The d-line is just not very good, and that's a huge problem. Cincy ran the ball all over us in the first half. No pressure on the qb. Obviously, it was a serious error getting rid of trevor price. He's close to leading the NFL in sacks this year. His high salery would have been worth it, because our d-line is garbage.
The best rb on the team is an undrafted free agent. Not exactly steven jackson or lawrence maroney. The receiving core is also relying on unheralded rookies. Do you really see Cutler, Brandon Marshall and Tony Scheffler out-dueling Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, and Reggie Wayne in a play-off game?
Still, the broncos have shown that they can beat some of the best teams in the league (baltimore, new england) but this really is an off year. They could get lucky, but I'd say year after next is when they'll be a top contender. They need time to build around cutler who is clearly going to be one of the best qb's in the league. Leinart is already hurt. Anyone who rated Matt Leinart ahead of Jay Cutler should be permanently banned from football. There's no comparison.
As for Lynch, I was SHOCKED when I saw his name in the Pro Bowl--he's been average at best this year. Maybe it was a good thing though that everyone's been saying he shouldn't be there--he obviously came out with something to prove today. Now, if he can just keep that level of play up...(note: he still got burned on a couple of big pass plays today on which he looked really slow).
We own them afterall.
Please send the National Guard. We are killing the New England Patriots.
It has always been like that and will continue to be like that.
Gosh I sure hope we dont have to play the Broncos in the playoffs again.
Uh... get used to it... the only way the Pats go to the Superbowl this year is if they buy a ticket.
